THE CHALLENGE
Suburban Manufacturing is a Minnesota manufacturer of superior filtration products that are used globally. They contacted us to create a brand video that would encompass their core values, as well as convey the brand relationship between their three verticals. The catch? The video needed to be completed in under two weeks. Fortunately they were just down the road, making the project a bit more feasible. We started in with their marketing director, whom we found to be an accomplished script writer. His script, needing only minor edits, allowed us to move quickly into production.
Fun fact: During script consultations, Jason Steinbach of Virbion suggested that Chase had stumbled across a perfect tagline while writing the script. The executive team at Suburban agreed, and “Innovating at the Speed of Change” has now become their official tagline.
Filming on-site at their facility was completed over the course of three days with a full ensemble of video equipment, including gimbals, cranes, sliders, and dollies. During the production process we screened and coached voice actors in order to achieve a movie trailer, cinema-style sound that would complement the soundtrack. Audio mixing was accomplished on Logic Pro and imported to Adobe Premiere for mastering and syncing with video.
The post-production phase utilized the Adobe creative suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop. This included syncing, soundtrack mastering, color corrections, LUTS, and more. The video was premiered at their company-wide holiday party and will be used in their online marketing campaigns.
